Orchids are so elegant. I love tropical flowers and these are at the top of my list for weddings. I'm going to show you how very easy it is to make table arrangements using Cymbidium Orchids,
When you purchase your orchids, there will be many orchids on each stem to work with, as illustrated below. Remember, Orchids are tropical flowers so when they are shipped to you they should be put in tall vases of water at room temperature.
Do NOT Refrigerate Orchids. you will need river rocks or marbles, what ever strikes your fancy. I tend to go for a more organic look so I like river rock. Whatever you choose will be beautiful.
I always give my rocks a quick rinse before carefully adding them to my vase. Bring water in tall vase up about 3/4 and round vase just above the rocks.
Gently position your orchids to face the glass until you are pleased with the outcome. If you are setting these up on location, make sure to take your water pitcher and other tools with you and assemble them on location. That way you can keep the vases in their box. TIP: Use leaves and stems, you can curl a leaf inside a vase or use stem cuttings the same way. Picture below.
